Iyengar Style Yoga
This style of teaching yoga was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar of Pune, India, who places an emphasis on precise alignment in yoga postures to maximize the benefits of the poses, and on the use of props to meet individual needs. He has developed therapeutic and restorative practices for various ailments, including back problems, headaches, fatigue, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease. Siegfried Bleher is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor, and Kimberly Williams is an Iyengar Teacher in Training.
