Siegfried
has a Ph.D. in physics and teaches physics on occasion at WVU. He has taught a course on Yoga Philosophy through the Department of Philosophy and
the Program for Religious Studies at WVU in Spring 2007. Siegfried is an
Intermediate Junior III certified Iyengar yoga teacher. Recent

Margaret Carr, a certified Iyengar instructor, has been a dedicated
student and practitioner since 1986.
She
has studied with the Iyengars as well as senior level teachers.
Dynamic and thorough, Margaret teaches with gentle precision from her own
deep practice and joy for the subject.
With
her friendly and practical manner, she encourages and challenges students.
She recently moved to
Morgantown
from
Kansas
, where she was co-founder of the Yoga Center of Lawrence.

Marleen
Hunt has a WVU Regents Bachelor of Arts
degree and a Master of Science in the Department of Organizational Communication
Studies.
Marleen was introduced to Iyengar yoga in 2001 by
attending Kimberly Williams’ yoga class on back pain.
She has practiced yoga since that time at ILYS and
she focuses on yoga for mobility, flexibility, and well-being.
Marleen regularly attends teacher training workshops
with senior Iyengar instructors and she also mentors with other ILYS teachers.

Ora Leonian is an associate member of the
Morgantown Ornish Self Directed Community (MOSDC) and leads the stress
management segments of their weekly meetings at least twice each month. Yoga
is recommended by Dr. Dean Ornish in his Reversal of Heart Disease Program and
the Ornish Advantage Program on site here in Morgantown at West Virginia
University Hospital. In April, 2008, Ora taught at the Morgantown
Church of Christ Women’s Retreat. Ora has been a yoga student at the ILYS
since 2005 and began teaching Spring of 2008. |

Jean Riley has a Bachelor of Science degree in
Elementary Education and a Master of Social Work. She has worked as a public
school teacher and as a geriatric social worker. Jean has been a yoga student
at the ILYS since 2004 and is mentoring with the teachers at ILYS.
Her mentoring also includes
ILYS
workshops with senior Iyengar instructors and an Iyengar teacher in training
workshop in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jean
has been an assistant in the ILYS therapeutic yoga class and is currently an
assistant in the NIH back study.
She
has been teaching beginner yoga classes at ILYS since Spring 2007.

Sharon Smith has a BA in psychology, and an MA in
education. She has taught in the public school system for 25 years,
coached junior high school cheerleaders for 3 years, and coached varsity
cheerleaders in high school for 7 years. Sharon started taking yoga
classes in July 2005 and first taught in 2007.
